In today’s society, the most debated issue
is “EDUCATION”. From the President
to the Educationists and from Parents to Students
- none are satisfied with the present education
system.
Conventional education makes
independent thinking extremely difficult. Schools
have become factories and are manufacturing a
type of human beings who think in a fixed pattern
and whose chief interest is to seek comfort and
security. We are afraid to be different from our
neighbour and are afraid to step out of this stereotype
pattern. This leads to dissatisfaction, puts an
end to spontaneity and breeds fear. This fear
kills the spirit of adventure and blocks the expansion
of life.
What is the use of
learning if in the process we are destroying ourselves...
Should our children merely accept
a system that enables them to fit into the society...
or should they be prepared to meet whatever challenges
life may bring?
There is obviously something radically wrong with
the system. All of us, at different forums, admit
that the present education system needs a change...
But who will bring
this change? How this change will take place?
Similar thoughts aroused in the
mind of a 27 years old youth Raju Dharod. His
desire for an ideal school for his child could
not convince himself to educate his son in the
conventional education system. Hence he came up
with a revolutionary thought to built a radically
new system based on the scientific understanding
of the child. This thought resulted into Rushikul
Gurukul Vidyalaya in 1998.Today Rushikul, a part
of Gurukul Group of Educational Institute has
established itself as a leader in Child-Centric
Education System.
