Q2. Everything sounds
interesting and impressive, I understand the importance
of bi-media, but how do you ensure children's fluency
in English? Just
think! how did you teach Gujarati to your child?
You just realised that you have not taught him...right?
He learned by listening to it.
It is very easy to learn a language when you listen
to it. As the child listen, naturally he gets familiar
with hundreds of new words which are supplemented
with our actions, and he starts understanding the
language.
This is simple mechanism of learning any language.
This is exactly what RG does. Right from the nursery
through pre-primary section, our Teachers (Gurujis)
converse with children mostly in English. children
are exposed to a number of new words through concepts,
stories, poems and routine conversation. To add
on, these conversation are aided with fabulous teaching
aids like flash cards, puppets, games and actions.
During these early years, children build up their
vocabulary and understanding and thus form a strong
base. Further in primary section we use some outstanding
books to help children in learning spellings, new
words, concepts, grammar, reading and conversation.
Finally, in secondary section, except social studies,
all other subjects are in English. So gradually
children master English very well. |

Q5. What is RG's Curriculum?
At RG,"How we learn"
is more important compared to "What to learn".
RG believes that no curriculum is ever complete
and none can claim to make your child intelligent
and knowledgeable (full of knowledge). This is why
RG has not limited to the SSC Board curriculum,
although we have taken it as a base. By making subjects
interesting instead of compulsory, it creates love
towards learning and enhances child's reasoning,
questioning, thinking, answering and exprementing
skills. RG does not give boundary to learn. At RG,
students are encourage to use their own initiative
and to develop into independent learners. |

Q6. So, like CBSE,
RG does not give importance to exam?
It's true that RG is small
compared to CBSE, but RG is quite advance in thinking.
What RG has implemented 8 years ago, society is
realizing now.
After reports from child specialists, psychiatrists
and psychologists about how exams hinder child's
growth and blocks expansion of his potential, CBSE
Board has declared that there will be no exam up
to 4th standard and now they are coming with no
exam up to 7th standard.
Similarly, its been 4 to 5 years since society has
understood the importance of EQ (Emotional Quotient),
as compared to IQ (Intelligent Quotient). While
RG has given importance to EQ development right
from its inception 8 years ago. Only recently it
is proved that SQ (Spiritual Quotient) is very powerful
compared IQ and EQ. Management studies have now
included SQ in its program, where as for RG, SQ
is a base for the child to grow to his fullest.
This is why you will find RG students always courageous,
confident, creative and caring.
